Great news for members of The KARAOKE Channel ONLINE: we’ve updated the website with the addition of a new vocal re-timing feature, new icons to easily distinguish free songs from sample songs, performance improvements and more!

VOCAL RECORDING - Timing Adjustment

We know how frustrating it can be to finish the vocal performance of your life only to have it be out of sync when you play it back. Since this can occur for a few different reasons, and can depend on your computer setup and system, we’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to adjust the timing of your vocal recording so that it is in sync with the music as you would like it to be.

Vocal Recording Timing Adjustment

With your recording loaded into the player, click EDIT RECORDING. You will see a minus (-) sign and a plus (+) sign under “SOUND MIXER”. Click the -/+ buttons to adjust the vocal recording to be earlier or later than it is. Use the TEST button to listen to the adjustment. When you are happy with the adjustment, click SAVE. You can listen to the recording without the timing adjustment at any time before you press SAVE, by clicking LISTEN.

You can use this feature on your previous recordings or new ones. If ever you want to revert to the original timing, after making an adjustment and pressing SAVE, reset the adjustment value to 0.00 and press SAVE.

FREE SONGS to sing, record and share (refreshed on a monthly basis)!

If you’ve signed up for Free Membership, there are approximately 250 free full length songs for you to sing, record and share. The free song list is updated every month so if you sang them all last month, check again, as they will be partially refreshed every month!

Here are a couple of easy ways to find the free songs:

On the Home Page and Library Page you will see TOP 5 FREE SONGS of the last 7 days with a VIEW ALL button. Click VIEW ALL to see a list of the FREE SONGS available in your country sorted by popularity.

You can always find the FREE SONGS by clicking on LIBRARY > Browse Songs and then toggling on “Free Songs Only“. This will show a list of the Free Songs in alphabetical order.

On the Home Page and Library Pages where the song listing are mixed with free songs and 30 second (0:30) sample songs, the sample songs have an orange triangle in the top left corner of their icon:

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS

We’ve optimized the loading time of listings both for member recordings and member profiles so you can now browse recordings and profiles much more quickly.

In addition, the Karaoke Player’s song buffering has been optimized to ensure songs and recordings playback smoothly.

DRAG and DROP

Did you know that you can drag and drop songs and recordings into the SONG QUEUE? Well, now you can even drag and drop songs and recordings into the Karaoke Player itself and they will start to play back immediately — this is great for parties where someone has to sing a song immediately!
