Looking forward to the Grammys!
We’re looking forward to the Grammys on Sunday night and not only to find out whether Drake or Justin Bieber will be awarded Best New Artist (maybe Esperanza Spalding will take it home)… while we’ll be thrilled for whoever wins, is it possible that Grammy night is more about the show’s performances than the awards? With the list of scheduled performers, Sunday night’s show is sure to be entertaining, and of course, there may always be a surprise award or speech interruption (a la Kanye West/Taylor Swift).
53rd Annual Grammy Awards
According to Edna Gunderson, of USA Today,
Legends Mick Jagger, Barbra Streisand and Bob Dylan are on tap, along with contemporary hitmakers Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Muse, Arcade Fire and Lady Antebellum. They could all be upstaged by the long-awaited return of Dr. Dre, making his Grammy stage debut to premiere I Need a Doctor with Eminem.
Forming one of the traditional magical combos are Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow and, no joke, the Jim Henson puppets.
Grammy blogger David Wild, lists his 15 reasons to watch the Grammys on Sunday night, number 6 being our fave (not sure if it’s the craziest reason):
6) Because won’t it be nice to finally see Mick Jagger and Miley Cyrus back together again?
If you can’t wait for Sunday evening’s main event, check out the videos at Grammy.com, like this interview with Esperanza Spalding:

How did you know that Esperanza would win best new artist? That’s crazy. We were sure Justin Bieber was going to get it.
