Let My Voice Be Heard - America’s Karaoke Competition is waiting for your voice!
If you think you’ve got a great voice and are looking for a way to share it with America - the “Let My Voice Be Heard” karaoke competition might be for you. Many famous singers got their start singing karaoke - why not you?
Let My Voice Be Heard - America’s Karaoke Competition
You’ll need to submit 2 video recordings of songs (one patriotic from a specific list of songs) by July 31st, 2010. Visit the website for the Details and Official Rules. The first song is your choice, the second song must be chosen from a list of patriotic songs, including:
- The Star Spangled Banner, Traditional
- America the Beautiful, Traditional
- God Bless America, Traditional
- Only in America, Brooks & Dunn
- Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly, Aaron Tippin
- American Soldier, Toby Keith
- God Bless the USA, Lee Greenwood
The competition has rounded up some incredible judges, Lacy J. Dalton, Ronny North, Rod Black, Alex Salzman, Micky James, Karen W. Bolton, Eric Barnett, Tina Michelle and Robin Torrey.

Sing karaoke like you mean it!
Tips to recording a great karaoke performance:
- Practice the song until you know it by heart so that you can record your best performance;
- Dress the part - whether you where a costume or dress up as a lounge singer - putting on the appropriate outer wear will help you get in to your performance
- Choreograph your moves - this will greatly improve the entertainment value of your performance;
- Test your microphone levels to make sure they are correct;
- Make sure you have enough light to capture a clear video - lighting will improve the quality of the webcam recordings;
- Enjoy your performance while recording - this will come through in the video and will make your performance enjoyable for others!
