If you sing karaoke and have always wanted to participate in an Idol competition now is your chance! Online auditions for Karaoke Idol 9 are being held until 6 pm on Sunday March 7th, 2010. To audition, all you need to do is record and share a karaoke song online!

Karaoke Idol 9 Auditions

Join the online karaoke community by recording a song at The KARAOKE Channel ONLINE, sharing it and submitting it for your audition to Karaoke Idol 9. There are 50 free songs to choose from, or if you have a Star Membership, you’ll have more than 7,000 karaoke songs to sing.

To audition for Karaoke Idol 9 :

Read the rules and choose a category
Choose a song and record it (don’t forget to make it public)
Register at www.karaokeidolcontest.com

Tips for recording, sharing and registering your karaoke performance

Here are a few tips to make the process easier for you:

Know your voice - and choose a song that brings out the best of your voice
Practice the song a few times before you record it (many songs have a lead vocal track if you need help learning the melody)

Test your microphone volume level by recording and listening to a short excerpt of the song before recording the entire song
If you’re recording video with a webcam test the webcam settings to make sure you get a great picture - lots of light improves the image quality
After recording, listen to your performance. If you like it, make the recording public by selecting “Sharable”
