Michael Grimm wins America’s Got Talent 2010

Many were shocked when Michael Grimm’s name was announced as the winner of America’s Got Talent 2010, none more so than Michael himself.  Most believed that the 10 year old opera singer, Jackie Evancho would be crowned the winner.  Whatever America’s reasonining, America chose Michael.

Michael Grimm, the blues singing guitar player from Mississippi, wins AGT 2010

After singing Eddy Arnold’s You Don’t Know Me at the auditions in Los Angeles, Michael went on to Las Vegas to wow the judges and America with his renditions of Try a Little Tenderness (Ray Noble Orchestra), Tired of Being Alone (Al Green), You Can Leave Your Hat On, (Randy Newman), Let’s Stay Together (Al Green), When a Man Loves a Woman (Percy Sledge). For his finale act, he sang a duet with Jewel, of Willie Nelson’s Me and Bobby McGee.

His finale act though was the touch of class that he showed after his name was announced as the winner of America’s Got Talent 2010.  He took the time to make sure that Jackie was alright.  Both finalists showed tremendous professionalism and class.

Congratulations Michael Grimm!
