Born in Arkansas on February 26th, 1932, Johnny Cash was a prolific singer-songerwriter having written thousands of songs and released numerous records and received a Grammy Lifetime achievement award in 1999.  The 2005 biopic, Walk the Line, garnered Academy Awards and Golden Globes and brought renewed interest to Cash’s song catalog.

A new album of Johnny Cash songs, American VI: Ain’t No Grave, is being released today by his family Rick Rubin and Lost Highway Records.  The album features the last recordings Johnny Cash made before his death in 2003, including the Cash original song I Corinthians: 15:55.  Billboard says “Some guys just know the right way to say goodbye”.
