One of our favorite disco dancer/actor/singers from the 70s, with a career that is still going strong today, John Travolta is celebrating a birthday!
John Travolta was born February 18th, 1954 and grew up in New Jersey. His acting career started immediately after high school when he moved to New York City and found work on Broadway in musicals, including Grease. After moving to L.A. he started his long career in film and television, his most famous and successful roles being Vinni Barbarino on tv’s classic Welcome Back Kotter from 1975 to 1979, as the disco dancing king Tony Manero in the film Saturday Night Fever (1977), and as Dany Zuko in the film Grease (1978). These are only 3 mentions of a long long list of film and television roles that Travolta has had over the years.
