Germany wins Eurovision Song Contest 2010

The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 finale was held Saturday night with a live broadcast including live voting and results with Germany placing first, followed by Turkey in second and Romania in third.  The winner is chosen based on a 50% vote by the public (voting by telephone) and 50% judge vote.

Lee DeWyze wins American Idol 2010

The finalists performed, America voted, tonight’s final show of the season was entertaining giving the mic to many celebrities, previous American Idols and contestants.  After auditioning in Chicago, followed by months of performances and seeing other contestants get cut, Lee DeWyze has been crowned the 2010 American Idol crown.  Congratulations to Lee DeWyze, 24, of Mount Prospect, Ill.

Tonight’s the night Crystal and Lee compete for the 2010 American Idol crown

Crystal Bowersox has been the most consistent singer of this year’s American Idol contest, while Lee DeWyze has made the most progress.  Both are great singers.  Crystal still has more confidence than Lee.   It’s hard to predict who will win.

Falling Slowly, Crystal and Lee’s superb duet tonight on American Idol

Singing duets isn’t easy and singing duets really well, is the mark of great singers.  The ability to listen to the other’s voice, adjust and add your voice harmonically without taking over the song is what great singers give to the performance of duets.   Within the short week of practice that Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze had to learn the song, they performed Falling Slowly tonight on American Idol perfectly together.

Cape Cod’s American Idol Contestant, Siobhan Magnus goes home

Even with 33 million votes cast for this week’s American Idol performances, someone always has to have the fewest. And so it was last night, that the glass artist from Cape Cod, Siobhan was the Idol to go hom.  Siobhan ’s orginality will be missed.  She was the contestant on this year’s American Idol who had us all wondering, week after week, how she would interpret her song choice, what she would be wearing and of course, how long she would hold that wailed note.

Voice of McDonald’s Finalists to Compete at McDonald’s Convention April 19-22, 2010

Twelve talented vocalists from 5 continents and 11 countries will perform in finals in the Voice of McDonald’s Singing Competition starting on April 19th, 2010 in Orlando, Florida at the McDonald’s Worldwide Owner/Operator Convention.  Each contestant will be coached with choreography, stage presence and vocal tips in addition to hair and makeup styling.  The singers will be accompanied by a live orchestra and will perform in front of 15,000 convention attendees.
