Born in Israel on August 25th, 1949, Gene Simmons turns 61 today. Known for co-founding the hard rock band Kiss, Simmons has provided us with great entertainment, makeup, costumes and performances over the years.
We’ve all heard of celebrities singing karaoke, some of us have been lucky to be in the bar or at the party where it happens. This story twists it up a bit by having the celebrity, Jewel, go undercover to sing karaoke to her own songs. The video, produced by FunnyorDie.com, hit the internet yesterday by storm and has Jewel posing as Karen, an ordinary, fish factory worker-girl, out with her co-workers at an L.A. Karaoke Bar. Fooling the crowd disguised with a brown wig, glasses and prosthetic nose, she belted out in perfect synchronization the Jewel songs Who Will Save Your Soul and Foolish Games. And the unsuspecting crowd loved her.

He has won multiple Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and CMA Awards. He is well recognized for his passionate activism and is not afraid of controversial issues. We would like to wish Willie many more years of health, happiness and music.
The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music awards were held in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18, 2010. The votes have been counted and the Entertainer of the Year for the 45th ACM Awards is Carrie Underwood! Congratulations to this year’s Entertainer of the Year as well as all the other nominees and winners.
If you didn’t catch American Idol on Wednesday night to see the top 8 guys sing, you missed Michael Lynche’s performance of This Woman’s Work. Not only did he receive high praise from all the judges, he brought Kara Dioguiardi to tears, and she couldn’t stop crying, as Simon said “you come out with an incredibly difficult song to sing and you 100% nailed it, not just the best perofrmanc of the night, it’s the best performance we’ve had of all these live shows so far”.
In true GaGa fashion, Lady GaGa’s 9 minute music video for Telephone, featuring Beyoncé, premiered yesterday with lots of hype and fanfare, it’s an over-the-top, mini-movie with Hollywood film references to Chicago, Kill Bill, Thelma and Louise. Tyrese and the band Semi Precious Weapons make an appearance in the video in the Diner scene. Posted on YouTube less than 24 hours ago and the video has received more than 600,000 views, more than 16,000 ratings, almost 14,000 comments and currently 233 video responses.
Musical films and biopics are back in favor in Hollywood and the actors who have the talent to act, sing and dance are getting great parts to play.
